What you need
Admin access to a Meta business account that owns or has access to your ad account. That’s where you create the key. For the Claude version, a Claude plan with connectors and the Meta Ads connector.

Questions
Will this stop my ad account from getting banned?
No, and nothing can promise that. OwnMyAds removes one common point of failure: losing access because a personal profile was restricted. If Meta restricts the business account or the ad account itself, the key stops working too.
Is a business API key allowed?
Yes. System users and their tokens are Meta’s own tool for businesses and agencies that manage ads through its Marketing API. You create the key yourself in Business Settings, and you can revoke it there any time.
Where is my key stored?
On your device only. The OwnMyAds app talks to Meta straight from your browser, so your key and your ad data never pass through our servers. Untick “Remember on this device” to keep it for that browser session only.
Can my whole team use one key?
Anyone with the key can manage the ad accounts it’s assigned to, so share it only with people you’d give admin access. You can make a separate key for each person and revoke them one by one.
Why does editing copy make a new ad?
Meta locks the copy of an ad once it’s published. OwnMyAds builds a new ad with the same video or image and your new copy in the same ad set, turns it on, and turns the old one off. The new ad starts its learning phase fresh.
Is OwnMyAds made by Meta?
No. OwnMyAds is an independent tool built on Meta’s public Marketing API. It looks familiar on purpose, so there’s nothing new to learn.
How do I cancel?
From your Whop account at any time. Access continues to the end of the period you paid for.
